You give us the brief. We get to understand the role, the business and what “right” actually looks like.
The search
We don’t just wait for applications. We actively search, approach and engage people who could genuinely make sense for the role.
The shortlist
You don’t get a pile of CVs. You get a considered shortlist of people worth your time, with the context behind each introduction.

Common questions
The things employers and candidates ask before they get in touch. If your question isn’t here, call or send us a message and we’ll answer it properly.
Our standard fee for a permanent placement is 20% of the candidate’s first-year gross remuneration, unless we agree something different with you in writing.
Fees are agreed upfront, so there are no surprises later.
Fees in full, section 3If a candidate leaves during their probationary period you get a 100% refund and we provide a free replacement.
Formally, the rebate runs on a twelve-week scale from the start date, and applies where the invoice was paid on time and you tell us in writing within five working days of them leaving.
The rebate scale, section 7For a well-defined role we aim to identify and approach relevant people within 48 to 72 hours, with a strong shortlist developing inside the first week.
Some searches move faster. Specialist or senior roles can naturally take longer. We won’t promise a candidate in 24 hours just to win the instruction.
Invoices are payable within 30 calendar days of the invoice date, and we can agree shorter terms where that suits an assignment better.
All fees are exclusive of VAT.
Invoicing and payment, section 4Engineering, technical and infrastructure roles across the UK, from design and maintenance engineers to network and systems engineers, quantity surveyors, site managers and the leadership above them.
The three sectorsYes. Permanent, contract and temporary, and executive search where a role calls for it.

The person you brief is the person who runs the search, from brief to offer.
About the studioWe get under the skin of the business before we start searching, and we challenge the brief when it needs challenging: “we need someone with five years’ experience” isn’t always the answer.
We’d rather introduce three genuinely right people than twenty CVs that vaguely fit, and every introduction comes with the context behind it.
The process, brief to offerWe take reasonable care to introduce people who genuinely fit the role, and we’re honest with you about where someone is strong and where they are not.
Formal checks, Right to Work, references, qualifications and any clearance the role needs, remain the employer’s to carry out. We’ll tell you what we know.
Suitability and checks, section 8We don’t believe in CV black holes. We aim to acknowledge it and let you know what happens next.
If we see a genuine match we’ll contact you and have a proper conversation before putting you forward anywhere.
If there isn’t something suitable today, we can keep your details and come back to you when something relevant lands.
We won’t bombard you with irrelevant jobs just because we have your CV.
A job board gives you access to vacancies. We give you access to people and opportunities you may never see advertised.
Sometimes the best opportunity isn’t the one you were searching for.
No. Our fees are paid by the employer, never by the candidate.
No. We’ll talk to you about the role and the company first, and we’re honest about the opportunity and the fit. If something isn’t right, we’ll tell you.
Yes. What’s advertised is only part of what we’re working on, and some searches never reach a job board at all.
Send it anyway and we’ll come back to you when something relevant lands.
See what is live nowYour CV and a few details, that’s it. It takes a couple of minutes.
It helps if you tell us what you’re actually looking for, not just the job title and salary. That is what we match against.
